Introduction
The Craft Making Program was initiated in April 2021 in response to the economic challenges and youth idleness exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic within our community. Main Goal of the Program: The main goal of the Craft Making Program was to empower and skill young girls in the community, providing them with productive activities to avoid idleness and associated social problems.
Specific Objectives of the Program:
a) To train young girls in craft making skills, including basket weaving and necklace crafting.
b) To provide income-generating opportunities for participants through craft sales.
c) To mitigate social challenges such as early pregnancies, early marriages, and substance abuse among youth through engagement in constructive activities.
